Record Broken By 88-Year-Old Woman Who Straps Herself Onto the Wing of a Plane

Betty Bromage, age 88, is now the oldest female wing-walker in
the UK, reports the BBC.
Sadly we live in an era in which the search term “wing-walking”
pulls up Victoria’s Secret angels on Getty Images, but wing-walking is actually a death-defying
1920s pastime in which people move around on the wings of a
Bromage Britishly called the flight “a bit windy,” but
Bromage still has to contend with the world’s oldest
wing-walking person, Thomas Lackey of Ireland, who was
93 at the time he broke the world record in 2013. Speaking to
the Guardian, Lackey had described his hour and twenty
minute trip as: “rather refreshing.”
The youngest wing-walker is 8.
